ASH THOMAS WRITES THE LINES
17 year old Ash, a Year 12 student from Melbourne, was the winner of our You Write The Lines songwriting competition. Ash won an iPad2 and was flown to Sydney to watch rising hip hop band, the Crochet Crooks, record his winning lyrics in the studio.
“Being in the studio watching the band record my lyrics has been an awesome experience. Seeing them rap and bring the words to life was magic. It’s just such a great song” said Ash.
Ash’s lyrics were inspired by his experience that “respect is about honesty and purity in a relationship. It’s about trust and good communication. It’s about being good friends too.”
